Health
Hunger for Health aims to provide a range
of nutritional therapy services from which every individual
can benefit in the quest towards achieving optimum health
What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional therapy is the use of food
and nutritional supplements to encourage your body’s
own natural healing capabilities.
Nutritional therapy may be used alongside,
or in some cases as a natural alternative to mainstream
medicine.
During a one-to-one consultation a diet
and supplement programme, tailored to each individual,
is devised to address your health concerns and help
you to achieve your goals.
The 90 minute initial consultation involves
discussing your health and lifestyle to help give an
insight to the root of your health problems. Topics
covered include medical, dietary and family history,
stress, digestion, energy levels, sleep and exercise.
We work together to create a realistic
food and supplement plan that easily fits into your
lifestyle.
A few simple changes like eating more
of certain foods and less of others can often have very
positive results.
Follow-up consultations of around 45 minutes
are used to monitor your progress and review your programme
in case any changes are necessary to continue encouraging
your body’s healing.
Why should I try Nutritional
Therapy?
In modern society the impacts that diet
and lifestyle can have on health are becoming more and
more accepted as continuous scientific evidence emerges.
From children to mature adults, whether you simply want
to feel a bit healthier or you wish to address a serious
health problem, there has never been a better time to
discover what benefits nutritional therapy holds in
store for you.
Nutritional Therapy and Food
Any preconceptions of starvation or being
doomed to a life of bland and boring meals can safely
be laid to rest. Nutritional therapy is the complete
opposite. You will be introduced to countless plentiful,
health-promoting foods and you’ll learn that these
can easily and quickly be conjured into creative, colourful
and delicious meals and snacks.
